It’s a bit of a doom and gloom outside so I think we all need some warmth and lifting up of the spirits. And what better with than a little reminder of the tough yet charming world of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.

We were lucky enough to visit Grassington back in 2019 when the filming was in full swing. Blissfully unaware we entered the market square and what first caught my eyes was this rustic Ironmonger round the corner.

– That’s the one to visit after the walk – I’ve decided. I was ready to pick up some bits which would look fantastic in the garden. Then we went further and the hay in the middle, and the wooden stands with the vegies and pies… Well, yes it all started to look a bit surreal.

The crew were obviously having a break as it was a super chilly November morning and they were warming up in the ‘Drovers Arms’😉 but soon they’ve emerged and the filming continued…

It was a hard job – but whoever seen the final result knows it was well worth it!

We were so lucky to witness it and to see Grassington transformed so beautifully in Darrowby. Can’t wait to see Series 2 but in the meantime these should bring a smile to your face. Enjoy!
